I want a rat so bad but my mom says that they're dirty and is afraid my cats will eat it :(

Rats are really clean actually. They only stink if you don't clean the cage.

As for the cat issue, I just keep my rats in my room. My door is only open when people are around so that if she goes in there we just yell at her. Cats know when they're doing bad things (at least mine does) and she leaves when she knows she's been caught.

My old rat used to come when I called his name or when I'd rub my fingers together really fast.

You can teach them to play hide and seek, although I have never tried.

I want one! They are soo cute :D

When I got my old rat I was going to get a hairless, but I was two dollars short. It turned out well though, because Mouse was a very good rat.
