I cannot drink. more than one alcoholic beverae and I break out in a seriously terrible allergic reaction. hives and blisters, the whole fucking shamada.
it sucks. back when I was 17-19 I did not care and I would drink with friends but it was terrible uncomfortable.

but either way, everyone tells me that , for a guy who does not drink, I sure appear drunk 24/7

Yeah this past summer. They tore down the whole block (Buster's,The Dame, Mia's etc...) and are gonna throw up some huge monstrous conglomeration of a hotel/mall/condo.

There are still some good shows at the actual void skateshop (Tight Leather, These Are Powers, Hair Police, Warmer Milks etc..)

The Grapes. Home to some of the best Latin Jazz in the city, and that's good enough for me. Also friday night is African Cuisine Night. Electrical tape holding together the cushions is replaced regularly.

I don't drink alcohol either, but unlike Rob, it's not allergic, I just don't particularly see the point. Non-alcoholic drinks are cheaper and I still have a good time whenever I go out.

Well,kinda. I play drums and my brother plays guitar and we do this about once a month. We improvise post-rock/experimental/flamenco/surf-core type stuff....hah ok, i'm kidding. But occasionally afterthefact comes down and sprays the room with full ranging guitar tones and accompanies our sound. Its fun and apparently we might play a show at another underground spot that just popped up a few months back called CPR ( the cultural preservation resource).
