Yeah, my main problem is that it's not easy to come by these things in Italy, and I don't feel like spending too much without even having the chance to try the thing out. Thus my "limit" to the budget...looks like the bass big muff is indeed the best option as of now (it's around 75-85 euros in shops...fuck the euro-dollar exchange not working for this things!).

Yeah. Bass Big Muff is a good choice. If you want to get Malekko B:assmaster sounds, then you can always get an octavia later and put it before the Bass Big Muff and you could probably get close.

The bass player in our band has two of those Frantone fuzzes. I have no idea how much they cost, but none of his stuff is cheap. They sound pretty amazing, though.

As with my 1st post, Big Muff, either Russian or Bass is the way to go for middle ranged price. There are better boutique pedals, but you'd end up paying 3 or 4 times what a Big Muff would be. I say get a Muff and if it doesn't fit your needs, then sell it and get a designer pedal.
