Nice! DONATE! The first image (Vimeo clip) makes it look just like Newport '65, by the way. :) |
Steve appears on:
Emma Tricca – St. Peter - out now Riviera Gaz – Connection - out in June |
Anyone else have the Adam Golebiewski/Thurston Moore DISARM 2LP? Really been enjoying it - takes me back to being 16 and encountering the sets with Tom Surgal and having no vocabulary or context to make sense of what I was hearing. Love Golebiewski's approach to the drum-kit as something to hammer in any way shape or form - takes rhythm out of the equation so he and Thurston stunt around one another just tearing sounds out.

My recording of Thurston Moore and John Russell at London’s Vortex Jazz Cafe is going to get an official release to help raise money for the venue. I’ll post more info as I get it...

Live In Austin-esque alt covers? Oh joy  In other shitty bootleg news, some guy in Portsmouth has bought himself a cutting lathe: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sonic-You...AOSwtN5bIXO l At least they're cheaper than that East European seller who's been cranking them out for years now.. |
The August issue of The Wire Tapper will include a track by Hifiklub with Lee Ranaldo & Ikue Mori.

Ordered! Check out the names on the sticker — that's a mighty bunch: ![]() |
Ordered, but wasn't this originally supposed to be released as a 2x10" + DVD ??
|
I'm ordering it too. And in the meantime I'm watching the video that was posted yesterday of the Weapons song (featuring Nels Cline).Very cool song!
Looks like Lee was injured on his arm/hand? So he only does the vocal duties (not entirely true though, lateron in the vid he's playing guitar with a bow) on the hifiKlub's YT page there's also a vid of 2009 of a song Machine Gun that was remixed by Lee |

here's a Google translation of the French text: Quote:
EDIT: the purchase comes with a download link to the movie. I guess this comes lateron as of now I only got links to the wav and mp3 downloads o the album: Quote:

Who mentioned anything about a DVD in the first place? I mean, it would be cool, the same way it's nice to have the 12" and the WAVs, but I figured the "package" is what it is: LP + lossless (& lossy, if you're like that) audio + high resolution mp4 (1920x1080 is the best file you can get and I'm watching the heck out of this thing this weekend). |
this was originally planned to be released on Les Disques Du Rotin on a 2x10" + DVD... I can't find the thread about it... it was years ago though, plans have changed
|

You're right :) : if you search the forum for "Hifiklub" you'll find threads dating back to 2015. Here's the first mention of this release, it was scheduled for December 2015 and here is a post that mentions that Lee wasn't satisfied with the initial release of the movie. and here is the original trailer, dating back to 2015 |
