i just got my first job at a nearby amusement park. it's pretty boring and it's hot out, but it's not difficult. i run a rock wall and this game where people sit in a boat and shoot balls at other people.

the people i work with are not exactly the kind of people i would want to be friends with, but they're nice. the coversation is a bit monotonous; mostly we discuss girls, cars, and drugs. sometimes we play poker when nobody's looking.

the only really big downside to my job is that i have to stand up for 8 hours on end.

but i do enjoy having money.

Yeah the standing would suck.
My mom's a bank teller so she stands all day long, I feel bad for her :(

i worked at a record store for a summer and had a similar experience. trash talking each other, laughing at peoples music choices. sometimes even physical contact.

Hahah I'd probably make fun of people's music choices too :D
I wanna work at a record store, then maybe I'd meet people who actually like the same music as me...

I just deiced that I want to get a job at a movie rental place, like Rodgers or Blockbuster. That'd be pretty sweet...

My girlfriend in highschool had a job at a movie rental place. She saw every movie ever made because that's all she did--sit there and watch movies all day.

yay! got the job at subway, orientation tommorow.
+ i got a job interview for a different job on wed, hopefully ill be working two jobs this summer.

if i hadnt gotten the job i was gonna go to some movie places, i went to one but they werent hiring.

i had a friend that worked at blockbuster and he got to rent all the movies before they came out, they preferred he and other employees did that so they would be in-stock when they hit the shelves

i have been working for subway for about a month now, its better than monotonously washing a never ending pile of white dishs in which customers mush their food into an edible paste and smear across the dish before returning it to the waiter. but not much better. i mean at least they dont have deep fryers...

the fact that the white chocolate macademia nut cookie is 220 calories slightly depresses me.
but nutrition information always does, the "skinny bitch" wouldnt have it any other way.

i like subway, havent had a chance to try their cookies but i love macademia cookies. at first my feet were pretty sore from standing all day but you get used to it.

I get one of those white chocolate chip macadamia nut cookie dough packs by Nestle every couple of weeks & bake them all up to perfection over a few days time... Delicious...

i've worked at 3 different subway stores...& thankfully it's my only experience with fast food (besides my first job at Dairy Queen for a day)...i would have customers come into subway & literally make me put half a container of mayonnaise on their sandwich...disgusting. Their cookies & bread are pretty good. I haven't been to one in over two years, but when I used to go I would always get the Spicy Italian like kegmama recently wrote (not the BMT with bologna) ... I dig the banana peppers big time. I used to save the little stamps on the card for the free 6" sub too.

they are amazing, but 220 calories for something that is only about 3" in diameter and takes about 4 minutes to eat is obscene. I just stand near the oven and inhale while they are baking as an alternative...aroma therapy?
i like it to, but i could do without the chronic back aches and bouts of depression that are brought on because of it.
i have had similar experiences.
my new sauce record is 5 sauces on a sub. and then some of these people have the nerve to come back [after finishing their sub] and demand a refund because they found there sub to be to soggy.

so today i got invited last minute to go to california with my friend.
ticket paid and everthing and even go to disneyland!

but i can go cause i have to work

I went there once when i was 5 and all i did was kicking Goofy's ass... offcourse after a while he didn't think it was funny anymore.

work sucks.

the only job i have had that i actually really liked was a bin man or trash man for the americans on the board. lots of freash air and exercise and we got the work done very quickly so we could sit around for hours at the end and drink tea. or receptionist, that was good. apart from the odd crazy person it was sweet.

So, my mom went into Super Pet today and asked if they were hiring and apparently they're looking for someone in the fish section and someone to do cash.
Working there would actually be something I'm half qualified for cause I've done a bit of stuff with animals (I take care of my neighbors pets when they're away, I did agility and obedience training with my old dog, I have fish, a rat, cat, and dog). I'm gonna try to make a resume tonight haha, cause I still haven't done that yet.
