I was front row right in front of Lee and met the band (well, except for Thurston) after the show.

One of the best concerts I've ever been to, and possibly the best night ever.

yeh the green jazzmaster has been kickin' around since the daydream gigs, at least. he had a new woody one too, does anyone have a good picture of that one?

i took some pics @ the urban outfitters gig last year that i never actually posted and just found the other day, they probably should've been added to the gear guide a while ago. this green one's there. but thurston didn't bring the other new jazz w/ him cuz they weren't doing daydream tunes...

i remember lee had a woody jazzmaster for teenage riot in LA, rather than the standard green one he used the night before in berkeley. does he still use this? i remember asking him about it but don't remember the response...

T's guitar listed for Cross The Breeze is just listed as "wood" and I think is I have a picture of it, is it just another sunburst? just not as beat up.

I just wanted to add that it looked like the neck pickup in Kim's red jaguar has been removed. she also has a blackface bassman head with a 2x?? cab for guitar.

I waited outside the venue in the back instead of waiting by the bus. Steve was out there quite a while, too. Very easy to talk to.

Sorry some of my shots aren't too sharp. This is what I get with available light and an instant camera. I'd still rather not use flash.

hey whats the name of the guy that taped it? is he kind of old and deaf and from detroit? i met him at thurstons atp, he was the archiver, i got his email address but lost it. i didnt know what the fuck he was on about most of the time coz i had a concussion and he was deaf but he was cool and let me stay after gang of four so i didnt get kicked out before the second sonic youth show then met thurston after at the bowling alley. then i got sick and passed out again and missed most of sunday. v productive weekend. anyway can you ask him?

I have no idea, I just message him on youtube.

She stood right next to me for a good while and holy hell did she reek of alcohol -- I was sure she would vomit all over me before the night was over, but thankfully she didn't -- In between her inane shouting of "I love Sonic Youth" or whatever, she would shove and slap at me, then the next moment be hugging me, and eventually asking me to makeout with her. Very annoying.

Luckily for me, a little before SY came on she went to get a drink and lost her spot next to me.:)

Was this the same chick that was almost on top of the crowd shouting "Thurston Moore, I love you!!!" at every moment? Because that chick was clearly smashed.

I've seeded full video on DIME (I'm not the taper but I got a DVD copy and an audio rip of the DVD from him) and the ripped audio has been seeded some on purelivegigs, I think.

And that's a damned fine video IMO ! Better sound than the audio recording circulating too !

I was RIGHT between you SY37 and pop will eat thyself.....getting crushed against Kim's monitor ! I quit taking photos about 3 -4 songs in cause I got my lense soaked with spraying beer !!! DAMN !!!!
