Read/Reed Review: "It's one of the most disgusting, foul things I've seen — by any illiterate retard — in a long time. There's no limit to how low some people will go to write something to make money." "I wouldn't be part of that," said the rocker. "Just like I wouldn't be part of 'I Shot Andy Warhol,' " Mary Harron's 1996 film about Valerie Solanas' assassination attempt on the artist. "They tried to turn Valerie Solanas into a heroine. They're all a bunch of whores." |
I don't think Solanas came off looking all that great in I Shot Andy Warhol...

there is just so much about warhol that i absolutley love!

I have mixed feelings about Basquiat (1996)

I think Basquait is pretty great.
What's up with those Groucho Marx eyebrows on Edie? She's got a virtual friggin' black forest goin' on there. We all know what is up with the bruises. A lot of the criticism I feel originates with the onscreen depiction of Edie shooting up. In the movie, Sienna Miller never administers the needle to herself, but rather, people are always helping her shoot-up. Although the movie doesn't lay a lot of direct blame for her death, this aspect has incensed some viewers. It's also fair to say that there are a fair amount of critics that like Andy Warhol and feel this is yet another movie that portrays him unfavorably and too one-dimensionally. Personally, I feel that it's probably true that other people always assisted her with the injections. |
What's a Nebutol?
|
Oh lord. Careful with the Barbiturates. Originally synthesised from animal wee and apples...don't go the same way as Edie!

Bless them all.Where did you find them?

Bump!!
My 5000th post will be... Nico's scene in Andy Warhol's 1967 film I, a Man (1967). Andy invited Jim Morrison to play the main role, but his manager convinced him not to do it. He invited his friend Tom Baker for the job. She was stunning! PS: I forgot about Andy Warhol's death on the 22nd of Feb, 20 years ago. |

If you read the diaries, you would also know that he absolutely hated doing that because he didn't like the way he would come accross on camera.

Warhol fact:
- When gallery curators used to visit him in the early 60's,he would open the door wearing a mask on his face which would freak them out a bit as well as the the camp platforms that he would have on a shelf in his sitting room as knick knacks. |
Ondine fact:
- Just a year after claiming that abstinence from sex saved him from catching the hiv virus he died as a consequence of drinking like a fish. |
Brillo boxes opening exhibition fact:
- A guy who had taken too much amphetamine previous to the opening collapsed inbetween the boxes on the day and was left there to sleep it off. |

The Andy Warhol Replicator?!?!?!?!? What next, BURTON snowboards?
|
Velvet Underground fact:
-When the four of them lived together they'd have to fight off the numerous complaints from the neighbours because of the general noise and anti-social behaviour. One of these complaints claimed that someone had being throwing shit from the window of the apartment they lived in and John Cale reckons that it might be true. |
Warhol's Doctor Attacked on The Anniversary of His Death
New York- WABC, February 22, 2007 ![]() An elderly doctor is hospitalized with severe burns after an alleged sexual encounter. 79-year-old, Dr. Denton Cox remains in critical condition tonight. The doctor is well known for treating celebrities early in his career, like Andy Warhol. Police say he was attacked inside his penthouse at 530 East 72nd Street. Eyewitness News reporter Stacy Sager has the latest from the Upper East Side. Initially, the doctor told police he was mugged and doused with some sort of chemical. But story wasn't all true. For example, he waited to report it until he was found in his apartment the next day with burns over 40% of his body. "It's just horrible to think that that could happen to anybody," doctor's neighbor, Adrienne Berger, said. And neighbors of celebrity Doctor Denton Sayer Cox would like to know how it all happened and so would police. Witnesses say they saw the 79-year-old physician, who has a sprawling penthouse here on East 72nd Street, wheeled out Tuesday morning. He was beaten badly and his body was burned with some sort of chemical. "He just looked very distressed. That was it. They took him away and they had examiners coming in and police cars left and right," a construction worker, Joe D'ambruoso, said. The doctor is well known and respected. His celebrity patients include artist Andy Warhol and writer John Steinbeck. Dr. Cox remains at New York Presbyterian Hospital's burn unit but the circumstances of the attack on him remain a mystery. The doctor initially told police he was robbed by several thugs on East 73rd Street and York Avenue on Monday night that his attackers doused him with a mysterious chemical. But right away there were holes in the story. People who work right at the scene didn't hear or see anything. "I was here and nothing suspicious happened," one of workers in the neighbor said. And some neighbors also doubted it was true. "It doesn't sound very likely to me. We have a lot of police around here. And I don't see obvious thugs hanging around," a neighbor, Keith Jewell, said. "I would report them myself." Police sources now confirming this does not appear to be any a random attack. They are looking at this as some sort of sexual encounter gone bad between the doctor and a male companion at his apartment. Meanwhile, the door to his office was locked by his employees today. This high-rise is right next door to the one that was struck by Corey Lidle's airplane just a few months ago. So, the residents in his building, somewhat used to the bizarre and nothing seems too surprising, but nonetheless, upsetting. "I think it's dreadful. I think the whole situation is not very pleasant," one of neighbors said. Sources tell Eyewitness News that the doctor didn't want to go to the authority so he tried to treat himself. According to investigators the doctor is not cooperating with the investigation. Police are checking surveillance cameras to see if there is anything that would help their investigation. But at this point the Doctor has refused to assist them or identify who did this to him. |

yeah I wouldn't care much myself but there are people around me at the internet cafe or at work and I usually keep my depravity to myself so I went to the options and turned off all the images and avatars in my view. Is there anything fucking lamer than some tweek looking at porn at the library or in an an internet cafe? "Hi! I'm Joe Homeless, I haven't bathed in weeks and I'm looking at porn in the library!" |
