The word is these sets are done and now shipping to the label from the manufacturers, so shipping should be happening over the next few weeks!

both casey and moshe are correct - we are indeed closing in on being sold out of these *and* we are getting ready to start shipping everything. in fact there are a couple of friends coming over today to help me with package assembly. at the latest the first sets should start hitting the mail on august 8 (likely sooner). the folks who have sets with the bonus material will start to ship as soon as the 7"s arrive (the first batch popped up and was defective - it is being re-pressed and i hope to have them towards the tail end of this week). i'll keep folks up to date.

i've been listening to bits of this and it sounds good but i'm going to stop now and wait until i have the records. i don't want to spoilt it.

Same here. Judging by what i heard, i think this is an awesome box-set and i'd rather listen to it on the turntable. I guess it won't take too long to get my copy anyway. The downside to this, is that the interviews are very enjoyable, and we chose to ignore them, stu.

as of today all of the box set orders for folks who ordered *just* the box (not those with the bonus stuff) will be out in the mail. i hope to finally have the corrected 7"s later this week. i'll update as i know more. watch your mail!

yeah, while we are generally out of copies for sale we do have a few "waiting list" slots open for the approx 15x sets we'll have available for sale in about 2-3 weeks. those will be the last sets that we have here on the label side of things. thrill jockey has mail order copies available as well...

I just received my copy! I really couldn't be any more happier. Too much awesome in one box. I also got "Anicca", by Okkyung Lee & Phil Minton today. Both things are really gorgeous, and i can't wait to put them on the turntable.

is there gonna be a digital version? ...i just like to listen to things in my car too, actually that happens to be where i listen to most of my music next to the turntable.

like someone else posted, the set comes with a download card. due to the odd setup of the set there will not be a standalone digital version.

I got my copy last week and it's very nice looking box set. Music is interesting and genre/style variation is wider than I expected, which is just great thing. I had heard only Sonic Youth before so there's plenty of new bands and music to explore.
