I certainly did pick the wrong folks!

- captain Gerrard = 1 point, kindly doubled by Fantasy Premier League... 2 points
- Fat Frank = 1 point (I even transfered the bastard in for 4 points, so his netto result was -3)
- Pamarot = cheap and clever transfer I thought, but I benched him (only player in my team to keep a clean sheet! :mad:) and he immediately got injured for about a month.
- Transfered Fabregas out because I had no clue he already would be playing again.

Those super sunday weekends are really hard to estimate... oh well, at least I didn't transfer Santa Cruz out just weeks before his hattrick! :D

OK. My personal faves come from my younger days too, when Dalglish played for Liverpool and looked like the youngest player on the field, which was the easiest way for me to relate to anyone involved in the game.

I'd add that I have a fondness for Villa and Nottingham Forest for the same reasons (and their beautiful shirts, that didn't look like any French team shirt).

Last week I had Gerrard vs Derby captain but changed it 5 minutes before the deadline to Fabregas for fear of Benitez resting good ol' Steve against the bottom ranked team in the league... of course he wasn't rested, scored and got bonus points while Fabregas was largely invisible vs Portsmouth. Oh, did I mention that I had Distin (man of the match, 9 points) benched in that Portsmouth game as well?

This week I finally sold Kitson and he immediately took revenge by scoring twice AND getting 3 bonus points vs Spurs. :(

(BTW, I Didn't see the game, but how the hell does Berbatov only get 1 bonus point after scoring 4 goals!?)

Fuckin hell, today i had Jones from Sunderland and Hart from Man City on my bench both giving me 10+ points and they didnt automatically substitute them in???

... unfortunately automatic substitution only happens when one of your original starters doesn't play.

Ouch! I just checked on last weekend's results... It seems like not having Ronaldo in my team is seriously killing me these past few weeks... But, I'll manage without him, I have my pride*!

yep. ranaldo not being present really has scuppered my chances. im going to take the gamble and reorganize my team and get the sulky talented bastard! i wish i hadnt used up that wildcard now!!!!!!! last portion of the season is gonna be all out attack from me!

My wildcard is still safely in my pocket, waiting for the end of January when the transfer window closes. Ronaldo still won't be in my team after that though, on principle.

It's not an admirable principle, I'm afraid - I hate Man U and Liverpool, and refuse to have any of their players in my team. I went against my principles for a while and had one player from each of those teams, but it made me very ill, so I got rid of them.

I once had a fantasy team which was picked on the basis that I refused to have any players who played for a team that wore a red kit. Surprisingly, it did quite well and I won the FA Cup in the competition that I was playing in.

it's probably better that way, as it's likely i'll have to add him to my team anyway. he's scored 120 points in his last 5 games for everyone who captained him during that period.

btw, doesn't anyone else think it's silly that he's listed as a midfielder in fantasy premier league? that means he gets points for clean sheets even though he's not defending and 5 instead of 4 points (like forwards) for every goal. of course i won't complain about that once he's in my team. :rolleyes:
