Oi, sell... then use the money to see em at Primerva...
sorted... im sure it wouldnt cost 400 either... so profit would be made and everyones a winner |
I've not got tickets but can't say I'm a big fan of the whole DLB idea anyway. If people are looking to pay over a hundred pounds a ticket, that seems like a good deal from a seller's point of view.
|
I'm tempted to go see one of the camden shows, but none of my mates are into Sonic Youth, so it'd mean a trip to the other end of the country and an overnight stay on my own. Bah. Hopefully they'll play the Leeds Festival 'cause I'll probably be there anyways.

You'd be paying a lot now that its sold out... It would be worth it though:) |
what is the taping policy in roundhouse? does anyone know?
|

Hi! Here there is people coming from Texas, Slovakia, Spain... we all think it is well worth it!! Come on!! |

Word! |
tickets for a 3rd show at the Roundhouse in London have just gone on sale a few minutes ago!
http://www.roundhouse.org.uk/whats-o...on=performance (thanks to EvdWee for the tip) |
this is insane. everyone in the world wants to go back to 88-89 :)
|
it is insane... they'll start playing at classic rock festivals soon!
|
That's what is starting to worry me.
|
Honestly I think this "thing" would have been much more "special" with jsut a few selected gigs around the world (Verona's arena, please, thanks...c'mon, even fu*kin' MUSE will play there...)...but on the other hand i appreciate the fact that more people will have the chance to see them performing DDN.
|
Maybe their pension funds need boosting a little. The stock markets have been rather poor-performing of late.

i agree with that... and personally there's another factor for me as well. on the one hand, the more DDN gigs in London, the more it justifies making the trip. on the other hand, none of us know what daydream nation anno 2007 is going to be like yet. i surely hope it's going to live up to everyone's expectations.... and the expectations are really high considering the amount of talk on this board and the little time it takes for these gigs to sell out. |

The US housing market is in a serious crisis I hear. |
I had been going off the idea of the concerts, and then I happened to read the lyrics to Hey Joni, imagined Lee singing it, and now I'm excited again.
But the number of these concerts being announced is taking the gloss off things a bit. I had thought that the whole point of these things was that they're an event. (A second thought - Maybe they'll recreate the whole event from the first time around, and I'll get to see Rapeman again!) |
Heh, speaking of lee singing... do you guys think he'll mess up a bit the lyrics to his songs? :) :)
|
I think it's good that they're going to bring it to as many people as possible. I'm just not sure if I myself should be going to so many.
|
I'm not sure if i want to go anymore. While it would be good on one hand, the other, more sceptical hand is getting bigger and bigger.I don't want to think of the Pixies (who were rubbish live even first time round) but i'm seriously questioning if this has got a point beside pleasing the fans in some way.
|
i want to see 3 of them.
bringing my sy show total to 40. i love attainable goals. |

You might get a special onstage presentation at the 50th show. A carriage clock or something. :D |
So they're playing on THURSDAY?
This sucks. I am seeing them on friday and I felt special because of it. Should I buy more tickets? |

|
I can't get saturday tickets but I think I'll buy the thursday tickets tonight.
|
It's been getting a bit Rolling Stones-like with them, of late.I have started missing the point of it all, unless the whole thing is done purely for the money, which i doubt. If financial reasons is the case, well, that's fine but i can't see any artistic value in that.

ha! i would want a tiara to wear for the remainder of the show also. i am looking forward to the england gigs especially to hear the inevitable compare and contrast. "thursday's 'rain king' was the best. i feel sorry if you didn't see that one!'" and, "yeah, the saturday show was the only one where thurston actually remembered most of the lyrics to 'the wonder.'" |
You're coming to the gigs, Jenn?
|
no, i meant reading about the reactions on here of the ones who are going to the UK gigs. you all had better be providing us with the great reviews,
i mean after you get home late and type out, "RAAAIIIIIIIIINNN KIIIIIIIING!" before you pass out. i do look forward to playing the compare/contrast game with the multiple dates they will do on the east coast. |
I'll probably die mid-set as Total Trash ends.

I just might call an ambulance for you during Hey Joni, but don't expect me to help during the Sprawl, 'Cross the Breeze or Trilogy... you're on your own then. |
I already know what clothes I'm going to wear that night. I am THAT prepared.
|
A third gig in London! I can't believe it!
I guess they won't play Daydream Nation in Paris then... |

|
Am I the only person a little annoyed?
Have got tickets for both Roundhouse nights, but now I'm not seeing the opening night :( |
I wouldn't give up hope yet... they've been playing in no city outside the US so much as they have in Paris in the last few years.

Oh, really? I don't know much about London ones, but Parisian audiences are often said to be very demanding... I must say that the idea of Daydream Nation show + weekend in Paris in good company was really nice, but I'm lucky I can go to London. |
Does anyone else see this as a final tour to play their finest work to the masses before they split up? Just one of a few things that have made me think this... I really hope not.
|
Nice one - I get to see them two nights in London now :)
