it's been a long weekend, glad it's come to an end

ah man, this weekend sucked. everyone had work/was away, i have tons of stuff which i didnt do, and plus that the weather is shit.

but the main thing is that i didnt get to sleep enough, i woke up at 9 both today and yesterday.

Anyway, im watching the Japanese Grand Prix and have just found out its a replay as it happened at 2am or something, by looking on the BBC website, and have also found out the result. Crap. Good race though.

I ended up washing half my brain down the sink last night.

maybe I should have had something to eat yesterday besides beer and tequila.

Seeing Airiel play last night ruined my weekend pretty good. I hadn't heard of them before and they were on the bill at a show I was at already, so I figured I would check them out.
No points for originality; complete Slowdive/shoegaze type music all the way, but originality isn't such a big deal with me if you execute your chosen area well.
The bass player was the one that ruined it for me; total "guitar center" bass tone, overplaying, clacky, and with a melodic sense that I couldn't hang with. At least they were loud.

I went out on Friday and it was a good night. Stayed in most of the day yesterday and today, watching tv, movies and listening to music. I really needed to re-charge my batteries. I'm meeting some friends in town in a bit. I can't stand to stay in the house for long periods of time.

I had a nice chilled not-doing-much weekend. The nearest it got to being crappy was that I went to visit Pookie where he works and when I got there I found out that he was on holiday. But I got some really nice nuts and dried fruits at the shop opposite his, so it wasn't a wasted journey.

Was a decent weekend for me, could have been better. La femme ditched me on friday, so I went to a noise show which was enjoyable

Try to entice him back, Sonicl. He was like a father to me and I miss him. :(

i really admire how they never fitted the bm mold really. also, they are not entirely grim or serious and that gives them something else.

Yeah, heh, I first discovered them when someone was talking on a message board about bands who imbed "dangerous frequencies" into their recordings. Nice.

i got denied a review of hangman's hymn which i don't mind really; but the asshole that did review the album said that it was some wannabe poser shit by japs who don't know what black metal is.

Nice you like 'Coming to Conclusion' too? Their current stuff is enjoyable, but their first and second albums are the best.
