Every woman has the right to choose for herself, and what she does with her body.
The problem isn't overpopulation, it's the fact that the wrong people are breeding. How can you bring up your offspring in the correct manner, if you can't even look after yourself?

I am not sure moral and ethical discussions belong on a Sonic Youth messageboard. Though having said that, one doesn't listen to the Yoof (as I like to call them in the confines of my own cerebrum) without a certain bent towards occasional self analysis for which read intelligence. (No, stupid people don't analyse themselves, for a start on Barrett's Taxonomy it's far too high level a thinking skill for them). Morality, as with democracy, belongs in the hands of those who understand it. Read into that what you will - if you are offended then it is you who has the problem, not me.

I can't speak for them, but I think that abortion should not be banned, for so many reasons. One do we really want back alley abortions again. You want to take your kid or sibling to a McDonald's and see an abortion procedure being done? Second complications come along during pregnancies that a woman must terminate the pregnancy. Also more women would die of complications of back alley abortions, because it is not done in a safe way. I for one am in the middle. Neither for it or against it.
