what to do when you are extremely sad...

... and self-disappointed
and about to hurt a really loved one, really bad
and powerless to change things that lead to that
powerless to change yrself
and at the same time
you are hurting,
hurting really bad
body & soul
you have to be strong, but you just can't
you need time and shit, but you've already had enough help, and you've wasted it becuz you're weak

boy, i'm really tired from life lately...

Trasher02 04.27.2008 02:02 PM

Hang out with some friends, go out have fun. Sounds silly but it works.

that's a temporary distraction that does not remove the causes. it's like trying to cure a brain tumor with aspirin.

forgive me, i'm having a know-it-all kind of morning. :D

True enough, but the problem with with being sad is that no matter how beautiful the world around you may be, you just can't see it. Bed I tell you. The great refuse of the unhappy. Oh yes, and cheap Whiskey, of course. Drunk either from a mug or directly from the bottle.

ha ha-- well no, not whiskey-- whiskey makes sad people do stupider things.

but i can vouch for the restorative powers of sleep and heavy dreams.

demonrail666 04.27.2008 02:36 PM

Whiskey makes me talk to myself if I drink it when I'm on my own. Usually stuff like "fuck 'em" or "bollocks to the lot of 'em". This usually ends up with me desperately tearing my flat apart, looking for a Reba McEntire CD I'm not even sure that I own. Eventually I'll just climb into bed with my shoes on and collapse into a heavy sleep.

This method is scientifically proven to achieve absolutely fuck all of any value, by the way.

Have a wank.

haha, that actually reminds me of my night last night. i was having a party at my place and then my friend/bandmember's cousin (who i dont really like, but thats beside the fact) unbeknowest to me was parked illegally and was in the process of getting towed. i was drinking some old crow kentucky bourbon and realllll drunk, and i have a problem, with authority, and i think tow companies are pathetic and crooked. i was being an asshole to the guy towing the car saying things like, "is this fucking neccesarry" and "cant you cut us some slack" which lead to things like "do you realize how worthless your occupation is, driving around stealing cars and charging money for them" and "youre a puppet", etc.. in my wasted mind i thought i was actually gonna get the car back, but in reality was only making the situatuon worse. my friends were trying to get me to leave, but being the belligerent i am, wouldnt. the guy called the cops on me so my friends are all furious with me and split and i had to hide out in my neighbors apt.

eventually this lead me to being super ashamed and bummed out, so i finished of the booze, talked to myself as you suggested, and passed out.

woke up this morning with vague memory of what went down till my roomate explained it to me, soo had to go around making the apology calls again.

not sure why i shared this but uhhh, yeah. whiskey is bad.

jon boy 04.27.2008 03:16 PM

if you are extremely sad and things are worrying you then you really need to deal with the base problem in order to sort things out otherwise you will get no peace of mind at all. if you really do feel bad then it really doesnt matter where you go or what you do the underlying problem will still be there and will dominate so its better to sort it out. if its a relationship breakup then only time and distance will ease the pain and although it can take a while things do get better and easier to understand. i would avoid the obvious escapes as this will only make things worse and stay sober.

Eat a curry and fart like a trooper.

Or:

Listen to Burzum.

I had an embarassing moment recently when I went into my local off-licence (translation to US = shop that sells alcohol) with a girl I'd just started seeing to get some rizlas and a supersize bar of Fruit and Nut, when the guy behind the counter seemed to automatically reach behind to get me one of those alcoholic-friendly sized 500ml bottles of dodgy foreign Whiskey. I'd bought one from him twice that week in one of those post-pub 'why stop now?' mindsets. Now the guy in the shop thinks I'm an alkie, and so does she.

And the moral of the message is? In order to maintain anonymity, never buy cheap 500ml bottles of whiskey from the same place twice.
