I play guitar and I sing. Should we cover SY songs? Any tips?

We already wrote an original song:)

Its fucking impossible to start a band i am discovering. No one wants to commit!

F'real, I find it totally bizarre that people aren't up for it, especially when you actually start a band and then even if it is good people aren't that bothered about pursuing it and seeing what can be achieved.

Like, work on how you play guitar, and what effects you use, and what settings you turn your dials to, so that your guitar sounds like NOTHING YOU HAVE HEARD BEFORE, or at least sounds like YOU.

You know, how eric clapton's guitar sounds like a junkie throwing babies from balconies?

Dude, that is a deceptive proposition. For a starting band? To navigate the complexities of mangled/modified tunings AND minimalist harmonizing guitar work? Why not just ask them to win the NBA Championship or 22 Olympic medals like Michael Phelps ;)

Make sure the other people in the band want to do it as much as you do.
