law abiding citizens have ALWAYS had to give up their rights and liberty to protect us from the deranged lunatics (I count the teenydicked orange nazi baby in the white house as one) among us.

This is democracy. This is collective consensus.

Remember how idiots fought for their "freedom" when the Fed Govt mandated all cars have seatbelts and that everyone had to use one?

Remember when two lunatics put cyanide in Tylenol and the whole system of bottling packaging and pharmacy dispersal had to be re-arranged?

remember when Black people in California and Texas started open carrying weapons (legally within their rights) and the NRA sided with the scared whites and pushed for hardcore GUN CONTROL?

Remember when a nation had a communist coup (Cuba) and because of this, all the american people who used to be at liberty to go spend money in Havana were forced to never visit, for fear of high treason?

Remember when raging white boy idiot Timothy McVeigh blew up countless innocent women men and children at a Federal building using fertilizer? Remember how after that, every single farmer that needed that fertilizer was forced to endure background checks and that the high nitrogen fertilizer became a controlled substance?

Gun violence is a public safety issue, not a private rights issue.
