question 2 - How many records have Battles sold? I would venture less than 100 thousand. I hear NO one talking about how "they are the best", but that's just me.
question 3 - do you not understand the dynamics of popularity? it takes time and it builds exponentially. the more a band is discussed by people the more people will check out said band, and the more you will hear about them etc. it is a feedback loop.
I think a mainstream C-level celebrity like Rachel ray wanting to have battles play at her party is fucking COOL and it makes me wonder if she is not the flighty dipshit she portrays on her show.
