Eh? Mayo Thompson and the Red Krayola are pretty damn well-known, my friend. I'd venture to say they're AT LEAST as well-known as Half Japanese is. Red Krayola's been around forever. And "Corky's Debt to His Father" is rightly considered a classic by many people. I saw it mentioned ALL THE TIME on various websites/zines and checked it out -- it's really good. They're more well-known amongst people that aren't only into Sonic Youth and stuff, at least.

Not trying to create an argument, but you kind of give an impression that Mayo and Red Krayola deserve more attention, which .. I mean .. they've been around for 40 years, they've worked with tons of "prolific" artists (O'Rourke, David Grubbs, Tortoise, even John Fahey), I'd say they're pretty prolific...
