i know people disagree, but i wouldn't even consider the cramps psychobilly. i know they used the term themselves early on to describe what they were but
to me, psychobilly is/was stuff like the meteors, the guanabatz, demented are go. Those bands were definitely influenced by the cramps but they replaced the more sleazy side of the cramps with a kind of beery hedonism. Rev. Horton Heat have done the same thing and, while Lux Interior did claim that they were the closest allies to the cramps 'ideology', I just don't see it.
