I don't know the answer, but I can tell you that their sensitivity is also what makes sleeping with them so incredibly hot.
And about the synagogue thing...maybe I'll wear a dress to services and put on some combat boots and some tights in the car? & I can always rock an cardigan both at temple and as part of a 90's grrrl rocker thing? FML
